Corn Oil from the grocery store is a GREAT weight gain supplement. Cj is a really hard keeper and I had tryed everything on the market for 5 yrs. and nothing really worked. But corn oil does and he loves it!

If you go on trail rides and you need to tie your horse, you want something that will break if the horse pulls/freaks badly and you never want to tie a horse by the bridle. You don't want to use a nylon rope. Keep a halter underneath the bridle, unclip the reins from the bridle, and clip the reins to the halter instead and tie yor horse with that. It's much safer.

-for a cheap mounting block just use a stool, but if your horse is too big I think it's time you invest in a stepladder!
-if you need to give your horse medicine or something, sticks holes in a carrot or apple and feed it to them, or make horse cookies and mix it in there

If your horse is white, and they get a stain, use chalk on it.

The jugs that have water in them are great for reusing to carry watter for the horses, for shows or if you don't have a hose at the barn like me.

*If your horse eats his grain too fast, try putting some large, smooth rocks in his grain dish. He will have to push them around to get the grain, & that will slow him down.*

A small mineral block also works wonders too.

-an old toothbrush works good for cleaning tack, especially the bit
-keep an old towel in your grooming bucket to spray flyspray on and put in your horse's ears/face area
