HANOVERIANS :D

Best horse breed in the world, everyone should own.
They are beautiful, great at dressage AND jumping, and unbeleiveably loyal and dedicated animals.
I have one whom is just amazing, and i dont know what i would do with out him

I like hanoverians, I don't think I'd want to own one (not much talent eventing wise) but they're great athletes with wonderful personalities.

I used to not be very in love with Hanos. Or really any warmblood. Because they didn't have the stamina or endurance to do eventing. I loved them and thought that they had nice talent but just not for eventing. Dressage and hunters/jumpers yes but not eventing. But I got a Hano a couple years ago and he is WONDERFUL! I love him. He is alot "hotter" than your typical warmblood. (which is why we got him because we thought he could make an eventer) He has stamina that goes on forever. You can't tire him....even when he isn't super fit he can do trot and gallop sets just as good as any TB, plus a good recovery rate. Plus he has super nice movement to do good in dressage. He is big and bold and a XC machine. So I'm really pleased with him as an eventer.

I know not all Hanos can do eventing..especcially the older types. Bigger bulkier with not much endurance. But I've been seeing alot more Hanos out eventing recently which I like to see. Yes there are plenty TBs still but at almost any reconized event you can see a handful of Hanos. Which is nice. And competeing at the upper levels. At Five Points HT a few months back (a really big HT around here that runs BN through Adv) there were 3 purebred Hanos competeing at Intermediate, several at Prelim and even more at the lower levels. I was pleasently surpised.

Now they will never replace TBs in my mind for eventing but I think that Hanos will make a big appearence in the eventing world before long.

Oh and back to the original post...I love them!
